| The DSPS was organized in 1938, and incorporated
in 1962 as a non-profit corporation: a) to benefit artists in the Miami Valley and larger community, by encouraging them with programs and workshops, by providing a meeting place for discussion and criticism. b) to benefit Miami Valley citizens by providing art demonstrations, programs, and events, and by sharing resources to create interest and increase knowledge in the visual arts. The corporation may receive money, securities, and property in the form of gifts or
bequests. It may dispense, invest, or hold this property for the purposes of
