What: The side room in the gallery will contain a series of 16 x 20 paintings done by the group, same model (different perspectives). We think this might be the most interesting part - showing how eight of us saw the same person, same pose. The rest of the gallery will be hung with our individual portrait work.

Artists' Note: We paint at the Art of Peace Gallery on Dutoit Street, just off Fifth. It has been a creative place to paint as we experience all that goes on and around that gallery and its connection with world social justice. Gabriela Pickett is our "landlord" and her far flung family and friends often serve as our models - with all their international flavor and excitement.

If we are not rushed, we line up our work at the end of each session, giving us the opportunity for a group critique session....and giving the model a chance to see her/himself in eight different versions.

Since our present painting room is small, we are at group capacity now, but we urge those who are interested in portrait work to contact us - either to sit as a model, or to get ideas for forming other groups.  We will be happy to tell you what has worked for us for so many years....and how we operate.
